hey guys (and gals)..i create marketing plans for various organizations and recently have done alot of work for restaurants (palm restaurants, golden corral, famous daves) any way..i have a tactic that might work for OUCH.....
Restaurants are always being inundated for charity contributions..i have come up with a way for them to support the charity AND make money..which incedentally is why they are in business in the first place...here's how it works....OUCH can approach any large chain (dominos, picadilly cafaterias..etc) and explain they would like to set up a donation program whereby the retaurant chain will make available to OUCH "vouchers" entitling bearers to a 10% discount on all purchases (for a limited time usually 4 weeks). During this time when you order food and present the voucher (could be as small as a business card) the company will charge you full price, but donate 10% of the total back to OUCH on a monthly basis. Why would restaurants do that??? traditionally it is very difficult to attract new trial for restaurants..most of their customers are 80-90% repeate business...so by doing the program they will experience sales they otherwise would not have gotten, and the cost (10%) is minuscule compared to what it would cost to advertise on tv etc to get the same number of new trial customers...additionally, they can get national PR for their charitable contributions..call the local paper in each area where its conducted and guarenteed the paper will show up...so the restaurant gets additional new trial, additional units (if its pizza or table turns if its a sit down rest and free publicity..plus the charitable write off!!! what does ouch get? moola, greenbacks, bucks!!!!!! i have used this program with many retaurants i and it works like a charm!!!! any questions email me...i am very busy with new accounts right now but i will do what i can to help put the program together...this REALLY works!!!!!!!geoff..btw..jayne..no exorbitant consulting fee for the bullshit suggestion :)
