pred works next day for me and keeps me PF for the 3 weeks that I usually take it. Bad news is that the last 2 times (July and Aug) this year I got hit really bad when I came off. Still trying to figure out the long term side affects risk. I'm on my 3rd course of pred this year (seems like a lot).
