Hello everyone. Very surpised to see such a great web site for those that suffer. I'm not quite sure, however, if I do. I'm doing as much research as possible before I go to the doctor and try to explain my situation.

I will get a headache, normally (but not always) on my right side of my head, and it feels like my eye is going to pop out, and I often want it too. The corner of the skull, just above the eye, feels the same way. My fiancee can always tell when I'm having one as my eye will be almost closed, watery, and red. It will come on fast, last for about an hour, and then go away.

It has been happening more frequently lately, too. Last fall I noticed these kinds of headaches. As the winter went on, they became more and more frequent. During the summer they didn't seem to bother me at all. Now fall is back, and they're starting all over again except that these headaches are a little different. My whole head hurts now, including the base of my neck and my ears and throat. But they'll start quickly, and after I take 800mg of Ibuprofen and a 20 minute shower (as hot as I can possibly stand it) they will subside and go completely away within an hour, only to come back later in the day. Exertion will start them so bad that it feels like I've been hit in the head with an aluminum baseball bat!!!!

As I said, I'm not sure if these are in fact CH, as some of my symptoms look pretty close to them, and some don't. I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible before I see a doctor. Any thoughts you may have will be greatly appreciated.

And for those who do suffer from CH, if the pain is worse than what I feel, which it probably is from what I've read, then my deepest sympathy goes out to you. What I experience is hard enough to live with, I can't imagine the hell that you must go through.

Jason
