Yesterday, our local newspaper got one of "those" letters which is now at the FBI headquarters. Caused quite a stir in our little old town. But our local police were right on the ball. When they got "the" call, they immediately responded. They blocked off the streets surrounding the POST OFFICE and stormed in like gang busters!
The POST OFFICE? It took almost an hour to EXPLAIN to them that it was the NEWSPAPER OFFICE and NOT the Post Office that was where they were SUPPOSED to be! When we all finally quit laughing, we really felt secure! I guess they're taking this high security alert thing seriously. They're staying awake!
Oh well, hopefully this is just a sick joke and we'll all get back to our normal gossip before the week is over. Just thought everyone needed a good laugh at the expense of Gladewater's finest.
