I have been afflicted with CH for about 12 years. For the last six I have been chronic. For the last 2-3 years I have had an almost continous bout, with no relief. My neuro has tried just about everything in the book. As a "last resort", as he put it, he gave me Trileptal, an anti-seizure medication. Wonder of wonders, my cycle was broken almost instantly! I have returned to being episodic, with an attack every three to four days. I'll take that for now! I can actually have some PFD's, and live a semi-normal life. I know different drugs work differently for different people, but I hope this one is the solution for me. It has been working for about six weeks now. Keep your fingers crossed! Pray that my face doesn't freeze with this ear-to-ear grin I've been carrying around!
