Never had a HA in my life till POST Menapause, then the harmones kicked OUT and the CH kicked in. Harmone patches worked for two years then they kicked out and the CH kicked right back in and life has not been the same since. DHE-45 would stop the episodes when I was episodic after a month or so, but then that quit and I'd go through the whole cycle for about three months a couple of times a year and I went chronic for several years. That wasn't any fun either.
Finally after going through hell, we accidentially came upon topamax and I've been pretty much in remission for a couple of years. It's been wonderful being human again.
Don't know if these things have anything to do with harmones or not. We've bounced this one back and forth several times and don't know if we ever came up with anything or not. I think it's sorta like everything else - for some - things work - others it don't. If the DHEA is working - keep taking it.
