I have frequently mixed 25mg initrex pills with an imitrex injection, if I felt it necessary. I was taking the imitrex pills as a preventive rather than an abortive. Sometimes I had to take a shot if I had a CH before the pill kicked in. However, I only use 2mg shots, I have never done this with a full 6 mg injection.
