I got on a rant with Congress - somehow I get creative when I have HAs. A bud of mine (Jim I) came up with a great idea - TELL IT TO CONGRESS CLUB - everyone e-mail Congress. Yep, bombard them with e-mails, telling it like it is. After Charlie's post over the weekend I think that's a great idea. I'm doing my part.I sent my Congressman and Senators some stuff off this board telling them how our CHers are suffering from lack of medical care and NO insurance and NO money for drugs and how OUR TAX money should be spent in THIS country for US instead of being sent to Afghanistan to be spent on people we're bombing and to Egypt to people who are protesting against US. Our TAX money should be spent on OUR military NOT on THEIR military. We should NOT have to PAY people to stand behind US. We should NOT have to pay people because we're bombing them. We had innocent civilians killed HERE! Our Congress needs to answer to the people of the US and NOT to the people of the MID-EAST. The time for diplomacy is not NOW. Now is the time for the US. I'd rather see my tax money go into research for CH than dropped into Afghanistan to feed people I don't even know. But unless YOU and I stand up to the guys on the HILL and let them know how we feel they'll go right on playing the game they've always played - who's got the biggest one and we'll sit home and watch TV and pay for them to play! So do YOUR part for America - E-mail your Congressman and Senators. Tell them YOU want an accounting from them. Tell them you want to be SAFE in America. Tell them YOU want them to tell you WHY our government is NOT doing its job. Why our military is NOT getting the money it needs. Why we don't have enough small pox vaccine to vaccinate EVERY American and WHY they're NOT getting it ready BEFORE next summer? Why they're not getting people out of our country that have EXPIRED visas? Why our airports are STILL not secure? And keep asking UNTIL we get some answers!Love ya BD
