Sorry to hear about your pain. I am surprised that the duradrin helps you. I have CH and Migraine. Several years ago, my neuro gave me duradrin for migraines and it worked great as long as I caught it in time. If I was too far gone, it was a waste of meds.
Anyway, wanted to say, that I took 2 caps at the onset and then 1 cap every hour up to a total of 5 in 24 hours. This was per the docs orders. I was NOT to exceed 5 per day. It slows the O2 to the brain so can be dangerous. Just a thought to let you know that you might (under docs orders) be able to up the dose of the duradrin and stay away from the narcs like you are wanting to do. Duradrin has NEVER touched my CH so I'm glad to hear it works for you.
Maybe soon, Imitrex will go generic and we can all afford it. Don't hold your breath, though.
