About 14 years ago or so, during one of my cycles, light did affect my headaches. It made them worse when I had one, and sometimes when not wearing sunglasses outside I could've sworn they triggered them. Since then, it doesn't seem to be an issue. Sound has never been a problem with mine. I think we are all different, and each cycle has the potential to be different as far as triggers and what not.
