at the onset of a CH, put some on my baby finger and coat the inside of my right nostril. I had such a terrible CH about 7 seven years ago, was thinking of curing it with my 30.06. Was using ice packs, and so forth, looked in the medicine cabinet and saw a tube of Orajel, and said, what the heck, if you can put it in your mouth, why not your nose? It stinged, but shortly afterwards, the swelling in my nostril went down, I sneezed, good to carry a Keenex, and literally blew the headache away.

Now it's more effective laying on a bed with your head hanging over the mattress so the stuff can flow deep. I never experienced rebound with it like other nose drops. I informed my neuro about it, and he looked at me like I was crazy, but couldn't think of any damage. A tube costs around $5.00, but lots of headache relief in there. Also works great for burns like accidently touching a hot frying pan, instant relief.
