So happy you are near a headache clinic that has a group of neuros ready to go to bat for you and try everything. I need such a group too! I'm sick of the family practitioners and ER docs who can only offer narcotics! I really feel I need to be hospitalized and have a neuro just go down the list of meds on trials and then start combos if they don't work. A this point, I am completely debilitated and am just obsessed with finding the answers and dreading the next CH. I'm on narcs and feel like a zombie, but I just can't stand the pain - am having 5-6 during days and 2-3 at night. I need some sleep as I'm exhausted. Tomorrow, I am going to DEMAND a fast referral to a neuro. My lood pressure is going through the roof - I already meets criteria for entering a hospital for treatment for that!
