Actually, the active ingredient in Maxalt is absorbed in the intestines. Studies have shown that the wafer takes a few minutes longer to enter the blood stream than the pill form.
I had the same belief myself and checked with the doc who attributed it to placebo effect.
So if I can fool myself into thinking the wafer is going to give me quicker relief, why can't I fool myself into making the durn HA go away completely? grin
