Sailpappy, I just wanted to ask you about the oxy. My daugher who went chronic 1yr. 2 months ago (I still can not beleive its been that long)started oxy. around 2 months ago after 5 nero's and over 30 different drugs that did not help at all. She was in the hospital 5 or 6 times but our last nero asked her if she was ready to get agressive and of course she sd. yes! First we tried morphine then came the oxy. She loves it, I know all the bad talk about it but it has given her life back. She still gets 1 breakthrough a day but was getting up to 7 or 8 at ranges from 4 to 10's. She has lost over 30 lbs and really could not have taken much more. She seems to get no bad effects from the oxy, she does not feel "high" or sick to her stomach. She is also taking Topamax which seems to keep the attacks at about a 4 on the pain scale. Do you feel that you could become addicted to the oxy? My daughter really does not seem to be, but everyone keeps telling us to get off of it, I tell them they should have seen her befor she stated taking this drug. Good luck to you and hope you have many pain free days and nights.
