I am a Registered Nurse at a S.W.Fla.hospital neurology unit and a cluster headache sufferer currently immersed in a cluster. At work, I spoke with a neurologist who coincidently is a cluster head, himself. He gave me samples of two new triptans: Amerge 2.5mg and Zomig 7mg. I have had some success with Imitrex and O2 @ 100%; in comparison,the Amerge wasn't very effective for me, the Zomig, however, seems to work as well, if not better than the Imitrex. The Imitrex and Zomig work somewhat better than the oxygen and are much less expensive; it takes a whole "E" tank of o2 to work for me.
