Hi this is my first time on the board, I have only just recently been diagnosed as having cluster migraines, I’m 40.. I 've been having short intensive headaches for years but this one has been going on since Friday morning it's now 4.50am Tuesday morning, last night the pain eased enough for me to get 5 hours sleep, which is heaven as this is the first sleep I've had since Thursday.. the doctors first diagnosed this attack as a sinus headache.. but think it’s a cluster migraine and have given me strong pain killers, Paracetamol 500mg tablets 2 to be taken every 4 hours with 2 tablets of 30mg of Codeine Phosphate, he also gave me Diclofenac Sodium 50mg tablets, 1 to be taken in between the others.. these dull the pain for about an hour at a time, I’m trying to stick to the recommended dose but I’m finding it very hard, I seem to spend most of my time waling from room to room applying pressure to me head.. does anybody have any tips for temporary relief.. I’m sure this question has come up many times before and I apologise if there is a section on it and I just can’t see it.. I’m not really thinking clearly at the moment as my painkillers are starting to ware off..Kind Regards.David.
