Been taking DHEA and my cycle is not as intense and things seem to have changed. These changes are as follows - I am experiencing severe pain in my neck (same side)before it comes out in my head. I'm now in my 5th week AND JUST HAD 3 DAYS OF CONTINUAL PAIN - - NOTHING would stop the pain, not ice, heat, painkillers, oxygen. No sleep - head pain too bad and probably too scared to go to sleep!!The CONTINUAL pain 4/10 for 3 days and nights included 'electric shock pain' in my brain, made me cringe and want to crack my head open on the wall, - and while that was happening I only had 1 major outbreak each 24 hours. I visited a different Dr -(well you never know - its worth a try!) He said "try this" and I think I'm having some joy here!! Tablets 100mg of Sodium Valproate (for epilepsy) - the electric shocks have gone and I feel half normal and still only having one major attack in 24 hours.Anyone ever tried this stuff?? It numbs the nervous system and they use it for amputation pain.
