Went to the ER on Tuesday, have been having an EXTREMELY bad week with the CH. Was in the ER, with the doc looking me over and trying to figure out why I was a chronic CH (when he had heard it was usually episodic), when I started getting a hell of a light show.
Couldn't get away from it by closing my eyes, it was going on in my head from the pain hitting new heights. Told my wife after the doc left that all I needed was some Pink Floyd and the light show would have been complete.

So I'm on the way home tonight and hear them playing Pink Floyd on the radio. What do they play? "Comfortably Numb" This is the song for the light show in the ER.

Song for an Emergency Room CH-induced light show
Separate parts for the doc and the clusterhead.

Comfortably Numb
by Pink Floyd
from 'The Wall' movie and soundtrack

The doctor:
Hello, is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me,
is there anyone home?
Come on, now, I hear your feeling down,
I can ease your pain, get you on your feet again.
Relax, I'll need some information first.
Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts?

The clusterhead:
There is no pain, you are receding,
a distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves,
your lips move but I can't hear what you say.
When I was a child I had a fever,
my hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I've got that fever once again
I can't explain you would not understand,
this is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb
I have become comfortably numb

The doctor:
Okay, just a little pinprick,
There'll be no more 'AAAAAAaaaaah',
but you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good,
that'll keep you going for the show,
come on it's time to go.

The clusterhead:
There is no pain, you are receding,
a distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves,
your lips move but I can't hear what you say.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child has grown, the dream is gone
I have become comfortably numb

And the rest, after a hefty dose of Demorol, is peaceful, silent, NORMAL life.
