I was getting Cluster headaches so bad for a while I couldn't get up because they hurt so bad. I was getting one this one day and had mentioned it to a co-worker. He told me his wifes doctor mentioned something about old fillings being put in back in the 1960-1980 period having some certain high dosage of something or other in them. I thought nothing of it....
until I had a filling break. I had not only that one, but a few more replaced and didn't realize until much later....I quit having those awful headaches! I haven't had one now for over 5 yrs. They were getting to be a very common thing with me, and I got tired of these Physician Asst. (not doctors) telling me to go home..lay in a dark room and take asprin. I wish they could get one of these headaches to see just what it is we are going through. So that is my little bit of advice. I don't know if it is true or not, but I do know that once the fillings in my teeth were replaced, my headaches were no more. Coincidence? Or reality? I don't really know!
