When I got to the crossing I asked why I was unable to
get info at the regional office. They explained that they
enforce STATE laws...that's why the rules change from crossing to
crossing. So, I guess that the info that I received applies to just
NM.
Here's what they said. Do you have a prescription with you? No, but I
have the pill bottle from the pharmacy. That's OK, they said.
How much can I get? Oh, about 6 months supply. Guess they figure if
you get more than that you might be reselling at the senior citizens center.
You can't buy any controlled substance without a Mexican prescription. We were
never able to buy husband's lithium in Mexico...but it's such an
old drug and so cheap that it was never an issue.
