My neuro is adamantly opposed to the surgery. His comments were that "It doesn't help in most cases, and has a lot of undesired effects". What you do is up to you, but consider surgery carefully, and get some more opinions. As for cycles, they are continually changing for many sufferers. I have gone from episodic to chronic, and am now back to episodic. It is a strange malady indeed. Have you tried oxygen?
