I was exactly 2 yrs to the day (amen) c/free. My mom past away two weeks ago, and lo & behold the beast reared it's head enough to know it was a start of a cycle. I immediately went to my doc, (headache diary in hand), and said hey, the last time I was in Er, they gave me a shot of Solumedrol (a steroid) for the road. So he gave me a IM shot of Solumedrol and started me on Verapamil 180 at bed. I did not have a h/a again until 1 week later (friday) I had a beer (DAMN) wouldn't ya know, just when ya think...... anyway, none last nite, will keep on the Verapamil for a while. Maybe for me, if you can catch it quick enough with some Solumedrol/Prednisone IM and follow with some Verapamil, maybe the cycle can be aborted. I will keep you posted as I certainly do not feel out of the woods yet. PRAY FOR ME!
