I believe the point was that a rather unusual, self-deprecating and/or pretentious nick was used in combination with a post about some other form of headache.

DJ is clearly our webmasters initials - - not a nick.

Paco and Elaine's "real" names show up on their emails.

Hub is short for Phil Hubb's last name.

LindaH no longer posts under Road Warrior and actually never really did - that name was given to her by others.

I've always assumed Couver was some French/Canadian Quebecois kinda real name.

Flash uses his real name in his email...he posts under Flash only because that's how we all know him now. Once he got his own server/email (and stopped using that of his client's), it was no longer necessary for him to conceal his identity while he posted about ingesting illegal substances.

As for Pinky, the "Mark" in his name is pretty descriptive of his real name and gender.

Frankly, I ignored maddog's post primarily because I tend to distrust people who choose to post on a site such as this one using an alias like that. The overwhelming majority use their "real" names here, many using last initials or full last names. This isn't a singles site, an AOL chat or any of the other pointless, immature sites that exist on the Net. This is a real site for real people. A place to find support, comfort, guidance and information.

Is it too much for us to ask that those seeking our help at least tell us their name?

KTSSU,
T
