It's more probably the water you're drinking with it that is doing it. 16 ounces of water is a pretty big drink and if you're doing that every time you're taking the ginger (up to 9 per day?), you are in fact doing the Water Treatment, as described in the button to the left.
Be careful taking too much of any herb though, ok? Headache is a common side effect of herbs, just regular headaches. Too much ginger can actually have a detrimental effect on your digestive process, yet smaller doses of it do soothe an upset tummy.
