Paul, A virus can grab your address from anyone you know, go through a bunch of other people that you don't know and make its way back to you with the sender being unknown to you. Thus, the moniker virus. It starts by taking your address from someone or somewhere where your address resides. Yes, it can be from a site but it's actually not from the site directly. In reality, in comes from the site's database of email addresses. I used to have my own site and I didn't have a database. My address book was my database. 1 in every 300 emails contains a virus, so if you don't already have protection get it soon. Some viruses can even infect you through a browser (i.e you visit a web site and bang, you're infected.) . Check out Norton, Mcaffee, Command, Trend etc. www.cnet.com or do a search on Google and type those names plus AV.
