I understand the lack of understanding and knowledge among Neuros and docs. My first neuro was very interested in the CH, but possessed limited knowledge. He put me on verapamil and when it didn't work after a few days, told me to stop. Now I go to a place called the Migraine Clinic. It's not a hospital (HMO if yer in the States). It's a place that deals solely with CH and Migraine. The main neuro was my friend's dad. I say was because unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. If it weren't for him and my friend for insisting that I see his dad, I shudder to think what would have happened to me.
