It's heartwarming to those of us who suffer to see a medical professional like yourself admit to lack of knowledge and feelings of helplessness in dealing with CH. This is certainly no flame - just contrasting your search for info with the "I've got the degree/credentials so I know best" bs we often hear from people in the medical field.
You are most likely correct when you say you can't take away your father's pain, but you are incorrect when you say it is literally killing him. CH isn't fatal or even damaging, as far as we know, beyond the effects of the actual attack.
Given your access to medical supplies, I agree with the others who suggest that you investigate O2. Run a few searches here or check out the link below that includes an excellent essay on the use of O2 to abort CH. Just link then scroll down to the O2 section.
