you would think they (guys in charge) would have more knowledge about sleep depravtion, residency was hell, kids had to be razor sharp on 36 hour shifts. TLC had a program about train wrecks, major cause was the engineer goin brain dead working split shifts and missing a tiny red light. Airline pilots have the same schedule. I use to work on field service and can recall having to drive 12 hours after being up for over 48 hours. Those days are gone, but when can't get to sleep, remember those days and drop off like a light.
