Just went through the whole virus thing myself, almost lost my hard drive. Even after completly formatting my C drive, the virus survived when I finally was able to even get just DOS back.
I found out that the virus infected all the floppy disks I inserted in my computer from day one of getting the virus. I had to go through every floppy individually and scan and clean those disks. Just a thought, but you may be unintentionally putting the virus back in through contaminated floppies. That was what kept mine down for so long, maybe by chance this is your problem too? I don't know if that's your case or not, but it was mine. Hope this helps. Good luck,
