people much more knowledgeable than I am, but the basic advice is to be medfree when trying shrooms. I did, left the Verapamil on the shelf. But then I could. I hadn't started the episode properly at the time.
If you are in the midst of a bout, being medfree can be a problem. Do you take a lot or only something 160 a day? I know at least one chronic clusterhead who could not do without his Vera and is actually still taking it between shroom doses.
Being in the middle of painful attacks may also have an adverse effect. You may get a few doozies before the pain starts to go away, and you may have to redose several times. Check out all the documentation on shrooms before you start. If nobody else replies, you can mail me (but I am in Europe so a reply will take time).
