Pleasure Is in the Seduction for Italian Men

ROME (Reuters) - Note to women: The only thing Italian men really want is to seduce you.
In a new survey, nearly six in 10 Italian men put seduction at the top of the list of things they enjoy most in life and say it's worthwhile spending lots of money to do it successfully.
Whether it be swanky restaurants, jewelry or fast cars, Italian men say they are ready to pull out all the stops to win over the object, or objects, of their affection.
And apparently the pleasure of acquiring the luxuries that help seduction along -- the cars and yachts -- is even greater than sex itself, the survey of 675 men aged between 30 and 50 revealed, according to Il Messaggero newspaper.
In recent weeks, a flurry of surveys have painted a complex picture of the Italian male when it comes to sex.
Earlier this week it emerged Italian men prefer to conduct affairs at lunchtime because it did not interfere with their home lives and gave them extra time to recover their potency before the evening.
At the same time, a survey in August suggested the Italian stallion was actually losing his sex drive as women become more sexually aggressive.
Nearly 40 percent said then that they were having sex with their wives against their will and were increasingly cowering away from their super-eager partners.
That may be why another report revealed that four in 10 Italian women are unhappy in their marriages and have too little sex -- just one hour's worth every 15 days.
