You mentioned waking up with a rapid heartbeat, but not levitating off your mattress due to the pain. Dull isn't a characteristic of CH - clusters are sharp, piercing, steady and not throbbing.
Much as I love the Kip Scale for communication between clusterheads, one man's (woman's) 6 is another's 2 - pain is very relative and personal.
I think you may be on to something with your thoughts about sinus headaches, but like almost everyone here, I'm not a doc. See a doctor. It only hurts in the wallet.
