Can't help you with the prednisone, but I think you've been given good advice here. I was concerned when I read "that my poor family can't put up with me much longer"
Is it possible for them to get on-line and read some of the supporters views? Or get them to the other links that can help them, help you through this?
Hopefully they can, because one of the things you DON'T need right now, is worrying about what they can put up with.
