CH isn't life-threatening and has no permanent effects. It DOES hurt like hell. I disagree with your doctor in that in some cases, our attacks have disappeared for unexplained reasons. It isn't written in stone that they will return. I also wouldn't call O2 a drastic measure. Where does he get that? It's benign if it's used correctly and many people here swear by this. I'm not qualified to speak about drugs as I have taken very few. Oh, and I have had no attacks in ten years. I'm 55.
Welcome to our corner of bedlam. I can tell you that if you read the relevant posts and post now and then, you are very likely to find something to mitigate the pain or help to manage this curse.
