I too have been perscribed Midrin. I have found that it does work well to comfort me when I have "the shadows". When the full blown CH happens, I have found little refief. My doctors is wary of perscribing medicine, and naybe like you, is trying the milder stuff first. My script says take two on the onset of the "headache" and take one every four hours not to exceed five in a day. During my active periods, New Years Eve for example, I took 12 in a 6 hour period and my wife still had me home at 11:00 because of the misery. I'm lucky enough now not to have taken any for a day in a half, knock on wood. Kay, give it a try and we wish you only the best for it's effect. If it doesn't work effectivly, return to your doctor for something stronger, Verapamil, maybe. I have found doctors are not always understanding of intensity of the pain. But with drugs, less is best when it works!
