I am one of the female majority. My cluster started after menopause. Doctors in the know are beginning to understand that many more women have CH than they ever thought.
Also, episodes can last as long as months.
So your doc is not well read-up in clusters.
Best thing to do: check all the buttons on the left for just about the best information in the field. Print it out and take it to your doc. Also, do the cluster quiz, to check whether you qualify.
Let's hope not, then we won't ever have to see you here again!
But if you have clusters, this is the place to come for support. A great many female clusterheads congregate here, as well as some of the guys.
