From my experience. Most cluster headache sufferers have their attacks about 1-1/2 to 2 hours after going to sleep. They often have others but....and this is just my experience; I never had an attack when someone woke me. I agree with you though, but for different reasons. Unless he'll miss work or something important, skip the hockey and let him get some rest. At my age (55) I look at things differently but hockey is way less important than your father's health. He'll likely thank for it.

Keep posting here. There are some good ideas here. Ask him to try the circulatory technique I emailed you earlier. It isn't easy, but it was very helpful to me and some others.
