All is well! The physician confirmed that the parotid gland is clear of any malignancy and the lymph gland is likewise. Apparently the tests for the lymph took a long time resulting in the delay in the reporting. The physician's guess is that I had a stone in the parotid gland that caused an infection; he surmises from some other evidence that that the I passed the stone. I next see him on January 31 and it looks like no further treatment (surgery) will be required. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They worked!!!
