would some of us go to such lengths to pose as a sufferer, just so's we could sample the "fruit of the gods?"... I know of three incidents where they didn't work, but one of particular interest that DID work was with someone I know quite well... and anecdotal evidence would suggest that they do, indeed, work more often than not...
not tryin' to be offensive, but it sounds like sour grapes to me...
