Hi room, I have been a diagnosed CH'er for almost twenty years now and in remission as I speak. My longest remission was for almost three years, and this last fall it hit me very hard again. From reading other posts, I found that when I missed my daily dose of 240 mg of verapamil or calan SR, the cycle would automatically start and last its normal course, which is at least 4 to 6 weeks. From now on, I religiously take my verapamil every morning. I still swear that this med is the best, and the safest in the long run. Many people talk up a wonderful storm of using narcotics, and all they do is create even more intensive, rebound headaches. Get off of the narcotics, use your imitrex, along with calan once a day during your cycle and I can almost go to the bank that your pain free days will occur more often, I have enjoyed your room, and thanks for your wonderful words of encouragement during my bad days....
