Having suffered with clusters for the past 21 years and being told by my GP that it was all in my head and finally when he retired and and a fill in doctor took his place, being sent to see a specialist, who told me what I was going through stage by stage I was gob smacked.
He prescribed a tablet called VERAPAMIL and for the last 5 years I have had no cluster headaches until recently, the past 6 weeks I have been off work. I have just seen the specialist and he recommended that I take 600mg a day, this is making me out of breath at the slightest thing I do (running up the stairs etc). He has informed me the next step is 100% oxygen.
Has anyone else taken these tablets?
Does oxygen help relieve the symptons?
