Are neither a preventative , and crtainly not an abortive. What they may do is help you deal with the fact that you get cluster headaches. I would not suggest to anyone that they try anti depressants solely for CH. Only if there is a psych. diagnosis that accompanies the CH and remember, getting depressed about getting CH does not neccesarily meet the criteria for clinical depression.
