Hello everyone! Some of you might remember me. I was posting thoughts, ideas, and questions about 2-4 weeks ago.
I just wanted to share with you how I have been feeling.
My CH's have been worse than ever this year. They started the 1st week in November on the right side of my head, and then on November 27th in the middle of the night jumped to the left side (which is where they ahve always been in the past). While on vacation over Christmas the CH's were spinning out of control, 5-10 per day. I needed something to slow the pace. Up until this time I found the only thing to abort the CH's 100% of the time was physical excertion. THe minute I felt a CH coming on I would jump rope vigorously for 10-15 minutes and it would be gone without building into anything greater than a 5 on the KIP scale. SO you can imagine how I felt after 5-10 jump roping sessions per day. I WAS DRAINED! EXHAUSTED! It was time for some prednisone to slow them down. That worked. But we all know not to stay on too long, so I started Verapamil 7 days ago and have built up to 480 mgs today and I FEEL GREAT!
If you haven't tried VERAPAMIL please do so. It is very safe both short and long term if taken correctly. Obviously, it won't work for everyone but it does for most CH sufferers both episodic and chronic.
