At this time, the Englewood Beach and Yacht Club has the following units for rent the week of (or a minimum of 3 nights) April 27, 2002:
Two 2 br/2 ba's Weekly-$600 Nightly $90.00
Two 1 by/2 ba's Weekly-$500 Nightly 75.00

The 2 br's have a queen sized bed in the master, twins in the 2nd and a queen sleeper sofa, accomodating 6 people. Share the the rental fee.

The 1 br's have a queen in the master and a queen sleeper sofa, accomodating 4 people.

These are full condo's, full kitchen, lanai (screened porch) overlooking Lemon Bay waterway and the boat slips from the back, with the ocean just about 200 steps away on the other side of a 2 lane street. Private beach. They are completely furnished. Heated pool and spa.

A $200.00 security deposit is required with a 45 day cancellation period for full refund. First come-first served basis.

It would be nice to have an firm head count right about now so that I can talk to the Veranda Inn about a meeting room. Their nightly rates for a motel room with two queen beds (no stay minimum) at this time of the year are $52.00 per night, plus tax.

Please let me hear from you via e-mail if interested in joining us and I'll send you the addresses. It's going to be GREAT!

Cook out on the beach is scheduled for Saturday afternoon and evening. Tiki bar right across the streed from the beach, with "island" music. Great seafood - 4 restaurants within walking distance. Bike rentals and bike paths, boat rentals, boat excursions , one with a sunset tour and lots of wildlife. Dolphins play in the wake of the boats. And more............

You can get a glimpse of the Yacht club grounds and a bit on an interior by going to Traveling Friends at
http://www.englewoodespress.com, or vacationfla.com.

This is in Englewood, Fla on Manasota Key. (West coast, between Venice and Naples (not Italy, Riccardo!)
Actually, to pinpoint it closer, it is between Venice and Port Charlotte.
