we did a survey here a long time ago and a lot of folks here have a lump on the BACK of their necks that does inflame during attacks and then subsides again. Some of those people have had that lump biopsied and it's always benign, just a ganglion lump. I still think there's more to it though - maybe that lump is connected to the hypothalmus....hmmm.
