This sadly sounds very much like cluster attacks.

Welcome Spencer. First, your attacks may not get worse. If these are cluster episodes, the one thing we know is that other than disrupting our lives, they do no permanent damage. So far as we know, they aren't physically harmful.

I never wanted to pound my head but the thought of kicking the dog across the room or putting a foot through the TV often occurred to me. Some people have identifiable triggers but many do not. Serious cluster research is in its infancy. I do know that if you read the many messages and archives, you're likely to find something to help you in some fashion. Keep posting and let us know how you're doing. Seeing your doctor is the right thing to do. You might want to take some print outs from this site when you make your visit.

We have an imposter here who is trying to disrupt this board so if you read a nasty post, use common sense and stick with us. Our goal to help in any way we can.

Charlie
