My daughter has been cronic for 16 months now, 24/7, tried over 20 different medications preventives, pain killers, hospitalazation 5 times for intrvenious DHE. She has now on 500 mg of Topamax which had keep the frequency to 2 HA per day and taking 1 oxycodin in the morning, sometimes 2 oxy's if the HA returns around 1:00 pm. This treatment has given her life back, she is now working full time and just started back to college, only taking 1 course to see if she can handle it. We tried 5 nero's before we got help. He tried the morphine patch first but she threw-up som bad has to stop that, he also offered methadone, cocaine, I could not beleive this was even a treatment, but she was so sick we tried the oxycodin and what a difference, she is still sick and if she cuts back on the Topamax the HA come back. Good Luck, I hope you can find a treatment that works for you.
