Interesting reading the posts on verap. I started 1/15/02 at 180mg. Upped myself to 360mg last weekend. Got slammed during the week with some nasty ones. Went to a GP yesterday who offered a referal to a new neuro (can't go to my old one since she is on the "wrong list" for the ins plan and I would have to pay out of pocket the entire fee for an office visit). The GP told me to back down the Verap to 180mg a day so I don't get any tachacardia. But still, it was obivious to me that I knew more about CH than he did, since he offered to give me an Imitrex injection right then. Told him I didn't have a h/a. Geeeze, so tired of venting on CH, my apologies. Just wanted to offer my 2 cents on Verapamil. It has seemed to blunt the h/a, but am still getting them daily. But not as much now. Not wanting to be on Verap for the rest of my life either.
