A cluster ramps from 0 to 10 on the pain scale in 5 or 10 minutes. Lsts an hour or two and then disappears as quickly as it came.
You also would be talking to people if you were in the middle of a cluster.
I'd stick with trying the sinus or tension headache route. Get your doc to give you some butalbital for tension and take it with a Sudafed to see if that whacks your headache.
Sorry, but what you explaine just doesn't sound sever enough to be a cluster.
