You said you got about two months relief from each of your first two doses, and a month so far from your third.

I'm not saying that you are definitely a chronic clusterhead, but your experience sounds pretty similar to that reported by most (if not all) chronics who have had success with psilocybin. Episodics seem to be able to abort a cycle completely, and remain painfree until the scheduled start of the next cycle, be it six months or a year later.

Most Chronics, on the other hand, report remissions of a few weeks to a few months maximum. I believe the lengthiest remission of a chronic I have seen reported here is about three and a half months. Some chronics also report lingering shadows and the occasional "breakthrough" attack during their remissions, as well as the gradual increase in the frequency and severity of attacks as the effects of the psilocybin fade.

I believe that your analysis of the situation is correct. I certainly hope that I am wrong, but to me your conclusion is a logical one. It may be that you will have to continue to take regular doses (every six weeks or so) of psilocybin for a very long time to come in order to remain painfree.

I suggest that the next time you dose, try a "back-to-back" dose. That is to say, take your standard dose of mushrooms, then a second identical dose four days later. It may be that this will extend your remission period.
